The R70 is a professional wall rail specially developed for museums, galleries or other spaces where a heavy duty picture hanging system is required. The rail is mounted on the wall, followed by the ceiling. The advantage of mounting the ceiling flush is that the rail becomes less visible.
The rail consists of two parts; an aluminum base rail and the aluminum cover. The cover cap is simply clicked over the rail after mounting. The Newly R70 rail is a robust and reliable rail on which heavy paintings and objects can easily be hung. With the steel wire 2.5mm wire and the autogrip lock hook for 70kg, hanging is easy. When using two steel cables and hooks, no less than 100 kg can be hung!
A beautiful fresh white color (RAL9016) which can easily be painted over without special pre-treatment.
Suitable for all Newly suspension wires of 2mm & 2.5mm Twister lock cable
If smaller works also have to be hung on the R70 during an exhibition, the standard 2.0mm Perlon or 1.8mm steel cable offer a good solution. This prevents the smaller works on the Newly steel 2.5mm from having too much play and from rocking or tilting.
The R70 painting rail has a maximum load capacity of 70 kg spread over the running meter. Hanging a painting with a maximum weight of 100 kg is possible using the 2.5 mm Newly steel cable Twister Lock and the Newly safety hook H70. The total weight of the suspension on a 2 m picture rail must not exceed 100 kg.
This load capacity applies to hanging a painting with 2 suspension cables and 2 picture hooks. The weight of the image must not exceed the specified load capacity, otherwise secure suspension cannot be guaranteed. The load-carrying capacity does not increase by using additional suspension cables or picture hooks! For each suspension, the smallest specified load capacity applies as the maximum weight.
The R70 is suitable for all 2mm Newly suspension cables. For high loads, use the correct suspension material with a correspondingly high load capacity: 2.5 mm Newly steel cable Twister Lock and Newly safety hook H70. With a low weight load it is recommended to use the 2 mm Newly Twister perlon ropes or the 1.8 mm Twister steel ropes.
The R70 is attached to the wall with a mounting plate, screws and 8mm plugs. You need the correct mounting set for mounting the picture rail, which is not included in the scope of delivery. The mounting set and other accessories can be found in our webshop.
